The Colts continued their league campaign with an away game at Crawley.
The score was opened 43 seconds after kick off as Ollie Jones kicked through and chased to touch down for a try from the kick off.
Crawley hit straight back with a converted try of their own and took the lead 7-5.
Two first half tries each from centres George Boynton and Elliott Rensch plus some great work by Lewis Gatterel and swift ball recycling from the 9-10 combo of David and Jonte sent us into the break 7-27 ahead.
After the break the Crowborough players came out strongly and score another flurry of tries before Crawley pulled one back. The match ended with a try and conversion from Jonte to take the win 12-74.
We've been on the end of similar scorelines in the fairly recent past so know what the Crawley players and coaches would have been feeling as the game unfolded, we send them our best wishes for the season and hope to welcome them to Steel Cross for a friendly later in the season.
